Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, is currently visiting several sites where work is ongoing as a result of the planned shutdown of the Caroni Water Treatment Plant.
The Minister, who was accompanied by WASA personnel, made his first stop at the El Socorro Water Works.
The shutdown of the Caroni Water Treatment Plant was implemented to facilitate necessary maintenance works at the facility. These works commenced on Friday, 9th August, and are scheduled to be completed by 12 noon

Measures are being put in place to ensure the works are completed on time despite the ongoing inclement weather.
