Gerard Pique ejected from final game of his career

Gerard Pique’s final match as a Barcelona player ended early after he was ejected from the bench at half time.

Pique was appearing in his last match for Barcelona after announcing his retirement last week.

The 35 year old Spanish footballer was given a red card and sent to the dresisng room despite being on the bench after he appeared to remonstrate with the referee.

Pique appeared to be angry with the referee’s decision to award Robert Lewandowski a second yellow card in the 31st minute.

Barca came from behind in the match to beat Osasuna and move five points clear at the top of La Liga.
