Gary blasts PM over Opposition bomb threats link

Last week’s bomb threats were well orchestrated and there is no evidence that it had anything to do with the Opposition.

This is the claim coming from former Police Commissioner and National Security Minister Gary Griffith.

Speaking at the PNM’s Sports and Family Day in Toco yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley pointed out that the threats came on the same day that the Opposition tabled a vote of no confidence in the Minister of National Security and questioned whether if that was “by accident?”

Griffith described attempts by Dr Rowley to link it to the Opposition as a “dog whistle”.

Mr Griffith said there could be many possible reasons and motives behind the attack but emphasized that he believed politics was not one of them.
