Former Political Leader of the New National Vision Fuad Abu BAkr is standing by his claim that he spoke to someone in the PNM administration, before appearing before the committee to be screened.
Speaking on Power 102’s Power Breakfast Show on Tuesday morning, Abu Bakr said he had conversations with Local Government Minister Kazim Hosein regarding the possibility of representing the PNM for the Port-of-Spain South constituency.
Abu Bakr has since dismissed claims by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley that no such conversations took place.
He said the Prime Minister spoke with his father, Imam Yasin Abu Bakr, to discuss his support for the ruling party.
To back up his claims, a few screenshots of the conversation between the younger Abu Bakr and Minister Hosein were released.
