Contender for the post of UNC leader, Fuad Khan has accused Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley of stirring his base with his response to Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s slave-master comment.
Speaking with Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show, Dr Khan said was it all just a game to both the Prime Minister and the Opposition leader.
He described their comments and reactions to the feud as “an illusion”.
Meanwhile, Dr Khan said he believes he stands a chance to win the party’s leadership race.
He told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show that “it’s all about the campaign”.
He added that if he won, he had no problem leaving Mrs. Persad-Bissessar in charge of the Parliamentary side of the party.
Dr Khan said while the Opposition leader’s tactics have worked well for her, they have not done well for the party and suggested that change is needed if the UNC is to win a general election.
