Franklin Khan’s funeral scheduled for Saturday

Late Energy Minister, Franklin Khan, will finally be laid to rest this Saturday, 8th May.

Khan’s wife, Laura Sewlal-Khan, revealed to media that the service will be held at the Aramalaya Presbyterian Church in Tunapuna at 10am.

With the latest COVID-19 protocols in place, only 10 people will be allowed at the service.

Following the service, Khan’s body will be transported by the Defence Force to Radix Cemetery, Mayaro, where he will be laid to rest following interment under Anglican rites.

Mayaro was Khan’s childhood home.

The funeral will be held under official arrangements by the Government.

Khan, 63, died on April 17, from a blocked blood flow to his heart.

Mrs Sewlal-Khan told GML there will be no viewing of the body, but stated that she was awaiting word on live streaming of the funeral.
