Haniffa Khan-Ramjattan, the 75-year-old aunt of late former PNM minister Franklin Khan is dead, after collapsing during the burial of her nephew on Saturday.
This has added to the grief of the already mourning Khan family.
Ramrattan collapsed at the gravesite where Khan was to buried at the Radix Public Cemetery at Mayaro.
She was taken to the Mayaro District Health Centre where she was pronounced dead.
She lived at Mafeking Village, Mayaro.
Mayaro MP, Ruston Paray expressed deepest condolences to the Khan family saying “We are all terribly saddened by the sudden passing of Mrs Haniffa Khan Ramjattan at the funeral of Senator Franklin Khan.
He said Hannifa was a very community spirited woman and loved by all in the Mafeking Community.
