Four suspects arrested in connection with Carapo chopping

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 19- year-old man, which occurred in the Carapo district last night.

Officers of the Northern Division Operation Suppression Unit responded to the report around 7:45pm on Saturday 12th October, at Passion Lane, Carapo. Upon arrival, they learned that a 19-year-old male victim had been attacked and chopped about the body by a group of men, who then escaped into some nearby bushes.

The victim’s relatives transported him to the Arima Health Facility for treatment. He was subsequently transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he died at around 9:35pm.

The officers conducted investigations and later arrested four male suspects who were occupants of a white Nissan Frontier pick-up truck, in connection with the incident.

The suspects; two 30-year-olds and a 27-year-old all of Carapo and a 23- year-old of Arima, are assisting officers with their investigations.
