Four men are presently in police custody after being arrested on Saturday morning for possession of firearm and ammunition.
The individuals, ages ranging 21 to 25 years are expected to appear virtually before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Monday to answer the charges.
The incident occurred at around 1:40am on Saturday 2nd January, 2021 at Western Main Road, Glencoe in the vicinity of Massy Stores.
Officers attached to the Western Division Operations Unit comprising off PC’s Charles, Ambrose, Sandy & Charles received certain information and had cause to intercept a Toyota Yaris with four occupants from the La Puerta Avenue, Diego Martin area.
The vehicle was subsequently searched and a Revolver containing six rounds of ammunition was found and seized.
All of the occupants were arrested and enquires continuing.
