Four men arrested, quantities of ammo and narcotics seized

Four men were arrested and quantities of ammunition and narcotics seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted Southern Division on Tuesday 26th January 2021.
During the exercise, officers of the Southern Division Task Force, along with officers of the Canine Unit, executed warrants in the San Fernando, Mon Repos and Pleasantville districts, where several drug blocks were targeted, as well as priority offenders.
Three search warrants were executed for firearms and ammunition.

The following arrests were made:

A 39-year-old man of Winston Mahabir Street, Pleasantville for possession of four rounds of .40 caliber ammunition.

Two men, ages 47 and 30, of Well Road Terrace, Hermitage arrested for possession of cannabis.

The drugs weighed a total of 250 grammes.

A 45-year-old man of Keate Street, San Fernando, for the offences of possession of a weapon and disorderly behaviour.

The exercise was coordinated by Snr. Supt. Lucia Winchester, Supt. Carty, ASP Ramdass, and Insp. Phillip. It was directly supervised by Sgts Joseph and Charles and Cpl Charles.
Investigations are continuing.
