Four people lost their lives this morning after the vehicle in which they were travelling crashed along the Solomon Hochoy Highway.
Reports indicate that around 5:30a.m, the driver and three occupants were travelling in a white Nissan Xtrail along the south bound lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the pole. The pole’s electrical transformer then fell onto the vehicle and lit it afire.
When police responded, they found the unidentified persons in the vehicle. Reports indicate that the accident occurred while it rained.
Fire officials and police officers have responded to the scene.
Residents living in the vicinity of the crash will have their electricity service temporarily interrupted.
