Four arrested – narcotics seized in Port of Spain

Four persons were arrested and 1,492.4 grams of narcotics seized during an anti-crime exercise conducted in Port of Spain on Wednesday, 28th April, 2021.

During the exercise, officers of the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF), headed by Cpl Phillip, executed a search warrant for firearms and ammunition at a house at Clifton Hill, East Dry River, Port of Spain.

PC Garner allegedly found and seized in the bedroom of JAIEL CHOY and her common-law husband JEVON SMITH, a quantity of marijuana weighing 767.2 Grams.


PC Garner then conducted a search of another bedroom belonging to her brother JAVON CHOY and his common law wife BIANCA PETERS, who also resides at the same address where he allegedly found and seized a quantity of marijuana weighing 725.2 Grams.


They were all arrested. Jevon Smith and Javon Choy were taken to the Besson Street Police Station and Jaiel Choy and Bianca Peters, were taken to the Central Police Station where they were charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis.

PC Garner is continuing enquiries.
