The People’s National Movement is mourning the sudden passing of former Party Treasurer and PNM Senator Dr. Lester Henry.
An Economist by profession, Dr. Henry was a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies.
He served as an Opposition Senator from 2010-2015.
He was later reappointed as a Government Senator from 2015-2020.
The PNM, in a media release this morning, said Dr Henry’s contributions in the parliamentary debates were precise, informative and expert-driven.
He also served on the PNM’s National Executive as the Party’s Treasurer from 2014-2018.
Dr Henry was the son of PNM stalwart, Ferdie Ferreira.
The PNM described his passing as a significant loss to both the party and the country as they saluted his contribution to national development in the spheres of education and politics.
