Former PNM minister and MP, Jarrette Narine, has passed away.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley mourned his passing with a post on social media saying, “A patriot has retired. For us in the PNM a stalwart is gone after he had kept the faith and run the course.”
His death comes after Narine was awarded the Chaconia Medal Silver for his contributions to public service last year
Narine was a member of parliament for Arouca North from 1991-2007. He also served as Minister of Local Government and Minister of Agriculture while he also held a portfolio in the Ministry of Works and Transport.
