The United National Congress says on Monday it will hold a Round Table and Webinar at 7:30pm to mobilize public support for the Repeal of the Procurement Amendment recently passed by the government.
Former Finance Minister, Karen Nunez Tesheira, Attorney and former Senate President, Timothy Hamel-Smith, and environmental activist and businessman, Gary Aboud, will join UNC political Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and Senator Wade Mark in the Round Table.
Public Relations Officer of the UNC, Dr Kirk Meighoo, in a NEWS POWER NOW interview this afternoon said this issue transcends political affiliations, class positions, regional locations, and any racial or religious classifications.
Dr Meighoo said the UNC will keep up the momentum on this topic.
