The Ministry of Health and Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, extends condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Emanuel Hosein.
Dr. Hosein served as Minister of Health during the period 1986 to 1991.
The Ministry says he will be remembered for his years of service and dedication to country and for championing the cause for persons with disabilities, which earned him the Chaconia medal Gold in 2022.
The family confirmed Dr Hosein passing and indicated funeral arrangements are to follow.
