There is a suggestion that private doctors should now be allowed to administer the COVID vaccine.
Former Trade Minister Mariano Browne today suggested that maybe the Government should examine this approach as it seeks to increase vaccination rates.
The Government has so far not allowed the private administering of the vaccine, instead making it available at Health Centres and mass vaccination sites.
The vaccination rate currently stands at just over fifty percent.
Mr Browne told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show that bringing private health practitioners into the fold should be seriously looked at.
The Former Minister in the Ministry of Finance also suggested that the Government was making premature announcements regarding the measures being put in place to reduce the spread of COVID 19.
Addressing the decision to make public service workplaces a safezone, he said policies should be presented simultaneously along with plans.
