Five Venezuelans held for illegal entry

Five Venezuelans were detained by officers of the Marabella Police Station for illegally entering Trinidad and Tobago.

They were held during an anti-crime exercise conducted on Sunday 6th December 2020.

Officers on mobile patrol saw the five individuals walking on Flower Pot Beach, Southern Main Road, Pointe–a-Pierre and decided to stop them.

Enquiries were conducted, which revealed they were Venezuelans, ages, 19 to 23 years, who entered the country illegally.

They were handed over to Immigration officials to determine their immigration status.
