A five member committee will do a detailed evaluation of the operations of the Trinidad and Tobago Telecommunications Services.
This was revealed by Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young, during the weekly post cabinet news briefing Thursday afternoon.
Mr Young told reporters one of the areas the committee will address has to do with TSTT’s relevance in today’s current market.
Minister Young said when the work of the committee is completed recommendations will be put forward to the cabinet on the way forward for the state-owned entity.
Mr Young defended the purpose of the committee, adding this process is critical at this time especially given the ever changing nature of the telecommunications sector.
