One hundred and fifty persons were tested for breath alcohol levels during a Road Traffic Exercise conducted by officers of the Highway Patrol Road Policing Task Force on the East bound Lane on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, El Socorro, early Tuesday morning.
During the exercise, five were found to be over the prescribed limit.
They were subsequently arrested and charged for driving a vehicle with breath alcohol level exceeding the prescribed legal limit. They will appear in court today, Tuesday 18th.
During the same exercise, two fixed penalty tickets were issued for driving without headlights.
The exercise was supervised by ACP (Ag) Odette Lewis and Supt. Gordon between 1:30am and 5:00am, on Tuesday 18th February, 2020.
