First Shipment Of Grain To Leave Ukraine Since Russia’s Invasion Is Headed For Turkey

Turkey’s Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, said the first shipment of grain to leave Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Odesa since Russia began its invasion is expected to enter the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus channel near Istanbul.

The Ministry of Defense added that on Wednesday the first inspection on the grain ship, which is heading to Lebanon, will be carried out in Istanbul around 10:00 a.m. local time.

It said inspection will be carried out by a Delegation consisting of representatives of Turkey, Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United Nations on the cargo ship Razoni.

The vessel is carrying 27 thousand tons of corn with the flag of Sierra Leon, leaving the Ukrainian port of Odesa.
