First dose figure crosses 200,000

The Ministry of Health’s Sunday COVID report revealed that 204,249 people have received at least a first dose of a vaccine.

The vaccines distributed were a combination of jabs that were donated by several countries including Barbados, India, China, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and others.

The most first dose vaccines distributed so far are from Sinopharm [114,068] while AstraZeneca shots so far amount to 89,981 and 200 first-dose Pfizer vaccines were also administered.

Those who have so far received a second dose are 71,426 persons, and health officials have assured that second doses will be available to every person who receives their first shot.
