Firearms seized in Central Trinidad

Officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF) North recovered one .45 Glock 30 pistol loaded with a magazine containing eight rounds of .45 ammunition and one Benelli 12-gauge shotgun loaded with six rounds of 12-gauge ammunition. They also found a black pouch containing 23 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.

Around 10.30 pm yesterday, based on information received, officers proceeded to a bushy area off of Caroni South Bank Road. They observed a white crocus bag under a coconut tree. The bag was inspected and the two weapons and ammunition were found. A search was made of the area, however, nothing else was found.

The exercise was led by Ag Supt John and included members of the CDTF.
Investigations are ongoing.
