Two men were arrested during an Operation Strike Back 3 exercise which was conducted in Oropune.
The intelligence-led exercise was conducted between 9pm and midnight on Tuesday.
During the exercise, six search warrants were executed at various locations in Oropune Gardens, Piarco.
A 30-year-old man, of Building 4, Oropune Gardens, Piarco, was arrested for being in for possession of one HK USP compact nine-millimetre pistol and 29 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition.
A 41-year-old man of Building 225, Oropune Gardens, was also arrested for obstructing a police officer.
The exercise was coordinated by ACP Andy Belfon and other officers and included members of NDTF Central, ND Intelligence Unit, G.E.B, Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard and Canine Unit.
