Finance Minister, Colm Imbert, says the government has been given useful advice from the International Monetary Fund as it does a financial sector stability assessment.
Minister Imbert says since 2017 discussions on this matter started and they eventually started the process in June 2019.
Mr Imbert gave this update at a media briefing this afternoon at the Diplomatic Center, St Ann’s as he responded to allegations made by the Opposition Leader about comments attributed to the IMF.
Minister Imbert also shared details on the findings put forward by the IMF.
