Female officer threatened with cutlass at station

A man entered the Duncan Street Police station yesterday and threatened a female police officer with a cutlass.

When he entered, he took out a cutlass from a pouch attached to his waist and approached the officer, a WPC, who was working at the counter. She stepped away and drew her firearm.

The man then issued a verbal threat toward the officer ending with, “I go do for you” before escaping from the police station. Although officers patrolled the area for the man, he could not be found.

Investigations are continuing.
