An accident along Ojoe Road in Sangre Grande, claimed the life of a 29-year-old businessman and father of one on New Year’s day.
Dead is Roderick Dedier of Cedar Wood Drive, North Eastern Settlement, Sangre Grande.
Dedier’s Nissan Tiida vehicle and a Hyundai Tucson travelling in the opposite direction, collided with each other in the vicinity of the Sangre Grande Fire Station, around 2 pm on January 1.
Dedier was rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital but died after undergoing emergency surgery.
Police have since issued a warrant for the arrest of the other driver who was involved in the accident but abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene.
