FashionTT launches 1st edition LookBook

The Trinidad and Tobago Fashion Company Limited (FashionTT), held a virtual media conference via Zoom to officially launch its first-ever edition of the LookBook, a magazine specifically designed to showcase and highlight Trinidad and Tobago’s fashion designers.

This publication serves as a milestone initiative for the sector and is projected to be circulated nationwide, throughout the region and internationally via the communication channels of public and private enterprises to boost local commercialization and exports.

The aim of this LookBook is to present the beautiful and timeless aesthetic of all local fashion companies to current and untapped markets and to introduce the designers behind these brands. The March 2021 Issue features brands such as Deisha Dare Designs, SunRae Swimwear, Bene Caribe, J Angelique and House of Abeje to name only a few. Each Edition will be published quarterly with a different assortment of collections for the viewing public.

Jason Lindsay, Chairman, FashionTT, said “We started this journey back in 2015. Coming out of the strategic plan, our value proposition has always been our unique Caribbean aesthetic and the values culturally as a country. This LookBook captures a lot of that when you look at the array of designers and our cultural signature brand that comes out, it’s something that we always wanted to capture and turn into a pipeline for commerce.”

The LookBook can be viewed online on www.fashiontt.co.tt/lookbook. Designers interested in being presented in the subsequent editions can email [email protected] for more information.
