Farmer offers ride, gets robbed by “passenger”

A good deed turned sour for a farmer on Sunday night after he was robbed at gunpoint by a man he offered a ride to.

Ronnie Adonis, 42, picked up a man in his black Nissan B-14 near the gas station at Royal Road, San Fernando, who asked to be taken to Union Road, Marabella.

However, on reaching Shannon’s Auto at Union Road around 12:10am, the man announced a hold up and ordered Adonis out of his car.

The bandit then drove off taking with him $60 cash and a national identification card.

Marabella police are continuing investigaitons.
