Farley Augustine To Take Legal Action Over Duke’s Defamamtory Allegations

Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary, Farley Augustine, is planning to take legal action against former Deputy Chief Secretary, Watson Duke, following allegations of corruption leveled against him.

Speaking at a post executive news briefing on Monday, Mr Augustine said he has already acquired his legal personnel who will represent him in this matter.

Mr Augustine said a pre-action protocol letter is being prepared by his lawyers.

The allegations of collecting bribes or moneys have been denied by the Chief Secretary.

Mr Augustine said he will not debate these matters in the public.

Chief Secretary Augustine said he will ensure the business of Assembly is conducted without interference.
