Armed robbers stormed the home of a Penal family on Monday night and stole over $200,000 in cash and jewellery.
Reports indicate that five masked men entered the family’s home around 3:00a.m. They woke up the family of seven, tied their hands with tie-straps and ransacked the house. They also forced family members to open safes containing jewellery and cash. They then fled the scene in a waiting car.
When the men left, the family members untied their hands and called the police. The men reportedly entered the house through the kitchen window as the burglar proofed-bars were cut.
Police searched the area for the suspects but no arrests were made. They are continuing investigations.
