A Venezuelan national was chopped to the head on Saturday night during an incident with men pretending to be police officers.
Reports state that 39-year-old Argelic Marquies, was at his home located at Pointe- a- Pierre Rd, San Fernando around 11pm, when there was a knock on his front door and voices shouted “Police!”
Men then barged in armed with a gun and a cutlass. They dealt Marquies a chop to the head, injuring him.
Marquies is able to run away and and made a report to the San Fernando Police Station.
He is now warded at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Investigations are underway.
