Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Franklin Khan, says Atlantic LNG Train 1 will not be shutting down in January next year.
Minister Khan during the question and answer period in parliament this afternoon said Train 1 will continue to operate in 2021 and will be part of wider negotiations which have been taking place among the Atlantic LNG shareholders to form one unitized facility encompasses all four trains.
The Member of Parliament for Pointe-a-Pierre, David Lee, had asked the Energy Minister to state what specific urgent measures are being undertaken to prevent the mothballing of this plant?
