Prime Minister and Chairman of CARICOM Dr Keith Rowley chaired a Special Emergency CARICOM Heads of Government virtual meeting today (Thursday 15 April, 2021).
The emergency meeting focused on the mobilisation of relief supplies from all of CARICOM for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines who are experiencing the devastating effects of the explosive eruptions of the La Soufrière Volcano.
Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young and Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to CARICOM, Ms. Frances Seignoret, were also present at the meeting.
Earlier today Prime Minister Rowley also chaired the weekly virtual Cabinet meeting.
