Electoral College to elect a new President in January

There will be no second term for Her Excellency The President Paula Mae Weekes, as the Electoral College is set to elect a new President for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

A notice in the TT E Gazette states that on January 20, 2023 an election will be conducted for a new President.

“A meeting of the Electoral College, established under section 28 of the Constitution shall be convened on Friday 20th January, 2023.”
