A Diego Martin man is today warded in a critical condition after he was shot three times in the stomach around 7:30am on Thursday.
Reports indicate that the 59-year-old man and his 59-year-old wife were at home in their living room when two men men entered the house and announced a hold up. The suspects relieved the couple of cash and valuables but were not satisfied with the loot and demanded more money from the man. One of the assailants got into a fight with the elderly man and his gun went off hitting the victim three times in his stomach. The assailants then fled the scene.
The injured man was was rushed to the hospital for treatment and remained there up until this morning.
Investigations are continuing.
