A man identified as Ryan Bishop, of Don Miguel Road in El Socorro, was shot dead in Laventille yesterday afternoon.
According to reports, about 12:05 pm residents of Straker Village, in the vicinity of LP#54 heard a series of gunshots.
Upon investigating they observed the body of a man lying face down in some bushes about 100 feet from the roadway.
They notified the police and emergency health services.
He appeared to have been shot in the back of the neck.
Bishop was ‘well known’ to the police.
Investigations are underway
