Eight more persons have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
This brings the total number of deaths locally from the virus to one thousand one hundred and ninety-six.
In its latest clinical update the Ministry of Health says two hundred and seventy-eight new positive COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the past forty-eight hours.
There are three hundred and thirteen patients in hospital with the virus.
In terms of persons in home self-isolation the figure is five thousand, two hundred and eighty-two.
At state quarantine facilities there are one hundred and thirty-four patients.
Ninety-three patients are at step down facilities.
Thirty-five thousand and seventy-one patients have recovered from the virus in Trinidad and Tobago.
