Education Minister Anthony Garcia says that the Ministry is aware of the situation at Claxton Bay Junior Anglican and is working to rectify the issue.
Yesterday, the parents of students attending the school led a protest action on the school compound to voice their dissatisfaction with the Ministry’s handling of the closure of the school. The school has been closed since September and is in need of urgent repairs. However Garcia acknowledged that there seems to have been a breakdown of communication with the parents and sharing that information hence the protest action being taken.
Garcia agreed that there has been some concern with the school for some time now.
He told News Power Now that there have been efforts by his Ministry to ensure that the students receive an education in comfortable surroundings and work is afoot at the Institution to ensure this come to fruition.
