Education Ministry donates devices to the Cyril Ross Nursery and St Jude’s Home for Girls

The Ministry of Education through the ‘Adopt-a-School’ program, donated devices to the Cyril Ross Nursery, St Jude’s Home for Girls and Hope Centre.

The devices were handed over by Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, Minister of Education and Lisa Morris-Julian, Minister in the Ministry of Education; which were donated by corporate sponsors.

The handing over ceremony, which was also attended by Permanent Secretary, Lenor Baptiste-Simmons, was held at Ministry of Education, Education Towers, St Vincent Street, Port of Spain on Friday 25th September, 2020.

Receiving on behalf of their institutions were, Ms. Savita Seebaran, Manager of Hope Centre Home, Ms. Sandra Stapelton, Manager of the Cyril Ross Nursery and Ms. Amelia Baptise, Senior Home Supervisor of the St. Jude’s Home for Girls.

 

This handing over ceremony follows a similar event earlier this month, where the Ministry of Education handed over seventy (70 laptops) for the use of ECCE teachers and ninety-eight (98) laptops to public Special Schools for the use of children with special educational needs.
