There is now a police presence and more Maintenance Training Security Company Officers at the Belmont Secondary School.
This comes after a school safety officer who was patrolling the compound was assaulted at the school recently reportedly by two men who entered a breach near the farm area.
Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gabsby Dolly, told the Senate on Tuesday the breaches in the fence at the school are being repaired.
She said teachers have been advised of the situation.
Minister Gabsby Dolly said she is not aware of any request being made for a meeting between the Ministry and the teachers union to address concerns and if a request has been made it will happen as this a regular occurrence.
