EBC says it cannot investigate PM’s statements about UNC’s alleged bribery

The People’s National Movement has not lodged any complaint with the Elections and Boundaries Commission about any perversion of the electoral process by the UNC.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley accused the Opposition party of having little regard for the country’s established institutions and attacking the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC).

He made the allegations on Wednesday night as he spoke on a political platform in Tunapuna.

Further, the Prime Minister said the party has set the stage for an attack on the EBC once the dust settles on the general election.

Speaking this morning on CNC3, EBC’s Chief Elections Officer Fern Narcis-Scope said matters such as those would have to be investigated by the police service.
