Officers of the St Joseph CID and Northern Division CSI are currently engaged in investigating an early morning home invasion in Champs Fleurs, which has left a 33-year-old man in critical condition.
Shortly after 1am, Anthony Raymond was at home at Esmeralda Drive, Mt D’Or Road, with a relative, when the front door was broken down by intrudes, who stormed into his bedroom and shot him several times before fleeing the scene.
Raymond was hit twice in the chest, back, midsection, knee and elbow.
He was rushed to the Mt Hope Hospital by the relative, where he had emergency surgery.
He is expected to have further surgery on Monday.
