An early morning accident in Icacos has claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman.
The victim has been identified as Sherine Sherwood of Southern Main Road, Cedros.
The incident, which occurred around 2:30am, occurred when the driver of a black sedan, (in which Sherwood was a passenger), lost control and skidded on the roadway in Icacos.
Report stated that the car flipped several times and then slammed into a coconut tree at the side of the road.
Sherwood died at the scene, while the driver was taken to hospital.
Police are investigating.
