Dwight Yorke leaves Macarthur FC

T&T’s football legend and former Manchester United striker, Dwight Yorke parts ways with Macarthur FC.

Dwight Yorke stepped down as Macarthur FC coach after just six months on the job and, just mid-way into two-year contract.

Yorke’s last game in charge was Friday’s 1-0 loss away to Adelaide United.

In 13 games, Macarthur won 5, drew 2 and lost 6.

The former footballer held a meeting with Macarthur chairman Gino Marra on Saturday where it was decided they would agree to mutually terminate his contract.

Rumours are that he could be lining up to take over t he top spot at Sydney Fc, in the same league.

Yorke’s former teammate and fellow T&T Russell Latapy has also vacated his role as assistant coach.
