Duncan Street IATF officers find gun, ammo in Sea Lots

At 4 pm on Saturday 10th October, 2020, officers attached to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) at the Duncan Street Police Post found one firearm and a quantity of ammunition in the Sea Lots area.

Acting on information, the officers proceeded to an open parcel of land located on the eastern side of the National Fisheries compound where they had cause to conduct a search.

Upon completion of the exercise, a black plastic bag containing a firearm was found buried beneath the roots of a tree.

The plastic bag also contained six rounds of ammunition.

The gun and the ammunition are undergoing forensic processing to aid in investigations.

The exercise included Sgt Stewart, Cpls Willams and Reid and PCs, Joseph, Nathaniel, Gervais, Harford, Findley, Bernard
and WPC Williams.
