Since the seizure of an estimated $7.77 million from the Drugs Sou Sou organization in La Horquetta, founder and businessman Kerron Clarke has confirmed that operations at the business have been put on hold.
This was due to a court order last Thursday, which allowed investigators to keep the cash until the completion of the investigation.
Today, several members/supporters of the DSS decided to stage a protest outside of the Parliament building, on Abercromby Street.
Clarke confirmed in a four minute video over the weekend that the TTPS seized all investors records, electronics, receipts, and close to TT$8million of their money.
The members who protested today said that they are protesting against injustice and for the rights of ‘poor people’ in and around the community.
Adding that DSS was not a national threat to society and country.
The members say they will return on Friday, until the matter is resolved sooner than later.
