Drivers in the West complained that they were in stand still traffic since early this morning.
They say that traffic was moving at a very slow pace when it does move.
Reports indicate that the cause of the jam was due to a blockage of the west bound lane oppositive the Westshore Hospital entrance.
Cocorite residents are said to have blocked the highway.
Police arrived on the scene eraly to remove the blockage but the reomoval of heavy items proved to be an issue.
