DRETCHI temporarily closed after employee contracts Covid19

The Wrightson Road, Port of Spain location of the Trinidad and Tobago Association for the Hearing Impaired, has been closed temporarily, after an employee contracted Covid-19.

The employee worked at its Diagnostic Research Education Therapeutic Centre, commonly referred to as Dretchi.

All services that the association provides have been placed on hold, in order to prevent exposing members of the public and staff after the confirmed covid19 case.

The premises are being fumigated and sanitised during the period it is closed.

The compound has been closed since November 20 and will reopen on December 7.

The Dretchi unit provides audiological care as well as government-subvented hearing aids to the public.

Officials said they are making every effort to contact members who have appointments to let them know of the temporary closure.
