A proud Trinbagonian is the sentiments expressed by lecturer in economics at the University of the West Indies , St Augustine, Dr Marlene Attzs in recounting her thoughts on Trinidad and Tobago’s 60th Anniversary of Independence.
During an interview with News Power Now on Wednesday afternoon, Dr Attzs said the occasion is an ideal time for reflection and move forward with renewed focus and energy.
Dr Attzs revisited the country’s watchwords of discipline, production and tolerance, and urged the population to follow this model which can result in numerous benefits.
Despite the challenges faced, Dr Attzs said the nation somehow has moved away from adhering to these principles which should be revisited and followed.
The economist said its important all citizens embrace the challenges at hand and get better and better.
